CHINA'S logistics industry posted a slightly slower growth in value in the first five months of the year, the National Development and Reform Commission said yesterday.
During the January-May period the industry rose by 9.2 percent to 75.1 trillion yuan annually, the NDRC, the country's top economic planning body, said. It added that the rate was 0.2 percentage point slower from that in the January-April period.
The value of industrial products, which takes up over 90 percent of the total logistics value, rose by 9.4 percent to 68.6 trillion yuan.
The value of imported products added 5.2 percent to 5 trillion yuan, while that of agricultural products surged 26 percent.
The value of recycled products gained 3.4 percent and that of daily commodities jumped 26.4 percent.
