BBC Worldwide and BesTV New Media have sealed an agreement with an eye on the booming children's entertainment market in China by distributing kids contents.
BBC will provide 200 hours of Cbeebies programs annually including programs like Teletubbies and Andy's Wild Adventures. Shanghai-based BesTV, provides young learners and parents a multi-screen service from IPTV tablets to mobile phones.
"We are excited to work with BesTV to promote our award-winning preschool brand in China," said Pierre Cheung, BBC Worldwide's general manager in China.
The deal further enhances BesTV's target in providing family-oriented entertainment services, said Zhang Yue, vice president of BesTV.
The Cbeebies programs on BesTV is expected to begin in summer.
