It may be fashionable nowadays to belittle the “lessons of Munich,” when Neville Chamberlain and Édouard Daladier appeased Hitler’s claims on Czechoslovakia. But if the West acquiesces to Crimea’s annexation, today’s democratic leaders will surely regret their inaction.
