AmCham’s Under the Digital Influence conference

Two great panels yesterday afternoon, the first on the future of the Internet in China, and the second on blogging. Most interesting comments that I recall involved mobile apps and the future of e-commerce. This was so thought-provoking that the conversation I engaged in during the cab ride from the conference involved C-to-C e-commerce, which also goes to show you what a geek I am.

Kudos to all the speakers - terrific job. David Wolf, a speaker on Panel 1, has some comments up on Silicon Hutong. Good job of getting the word out from AmCham as well - the conference was quite well attended.

The second panel was more fun than business-related for me. I have read and enjoyed all of the blogs represented on the panel, so it was very cool to hear these guys talk about their motivations and thoughts about blogging in general. Very impressive discussion by some great writers. I’m not sure if all these guys will be posting post-conference thoughts on their sites, but just in case, best to go find out: China Law Blog, Imagethief, China Briefing, and Danwei. Of these guys, I think 2 or 3 will be in transit from China to Europe or the US, so you gotta wait for it. China Briefing already has something up.
